One Year Ago Today...

No one should ever have to go through what we all went through one year ago. Watching our precious Mom be taken from us was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. We all know she is in a better place and can only hope that this past year she has had the best time of her life. Little does this guy know how much he lightened the mood around my parents house...
Perfect timing to snuggle with Grandpa Vern on such a trying day...
Or just spend time with Auntie Kirby...

It's hard to believe it has been a year already. The time really does go so quickly. I would not take back the 20-something days I spent in Iowa before and after Mom's passing. She really was a beautiful soul and I find myself wanting to be SO MUCH LIKE HER every day! Everyone deserves a Mother like we had...

WE LOVE AND MISS YOU CINDY SUE NEILL.

Sibling Love

I know this isn't going to last long, the window of time when the kids actually LOVE LOVE each other. This isn't of Kylynn giggling (I will try to get one soon) but for some reason, CASE is the only one that can get her to giggle much. It is adorable. She is going to be a TOUGH girl :)

Case's Friends

Case has MANY MANY friends. We enjoy getting together for playdates with all of them. Just a few pics to capture his fun moments with all of these sweeties...

 Case & Emery at Babe's, YUMMY :)
Sweet Aden and Adelynn at their lake house!
 Enjoying a Popsicle with Kyleigh!
 Painting with Emery!
 They are just adorable!
Emery may enjoy hanging out with "baby Kylynn" a bit more than Case...

Poor Aden, Case outweighs him by a bit and Case was jumping away. Luckily Aden was enjoying every minute!
 Sweet Kyleigh's 3rd Birthday Party!
4th Of July with our sweet friends
 Buddies!
 Making Pizza with Lindley!
Sweet Ebby Lee & Nixon hanging out...

I obviously am very thankful that Case has so many great friends. Although...I can only hope that these two are the best of friends for life :)

Visit to Iowa!

We officially made it to Iowa AND back in the car, with two kids, and I am still sane :) We left last Wednesday afternoon at nap time to drive back to Iowa. The kids started out with a 30 minute nap each, nice, considering I thought they would sleep a LONG time for naps. But, all in all, they did amazing with only a few meltdowns. Case kept wanting to go to the airport (mind you, he has only flown to Iowa) and then thought he could be the pilot and fly the airplane himself. That kid is funny...

The kids slept amazing the entire trip and we had a fabulous time visiting family. We went to the pool, on walks, jogs, and just hung out. Most of you already know, but my Dad is now sick. He has been having some stomach pains since around Christmas time and finally went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago. They are still running some tests, but he has cancer in his colon, liver and kidneys. They are still not sure where it has originated from, so we are hoping that they figure it out soon and get a treatment plan in place asap! It has been a lot to take in and just hoping and praying for him. He continues to walk/swim/bike in the mornings and keeps himself busy. It was great we could go up and spend a few days with him and the kids could bring some smiles all around.

Just a few pics from our trip...each time we take less and less pictures. Need to be better :)

When we told him he had to nap in the car :) (pretending obviously)

Just hanging out on the dock!

 Best we could do :)
Wrigley says, we are almost HOME, get me out of this car!

 Precious...

Sweet kisses after her FIRST haircut :)

6 Months Old!

Holy cow, I know everyone says, ENJOY IT, it goes so fast. It truly does! Half a year, crazy. I don't even know where to start with this precious little angel...Kylynn Sue Bishop is truly an angel sent from above. I tease all the time my Mom is truly HER guardian angel. She is a sweet sweet baby girl that I can't get enough of.
* She LOVES LOVES LOVES her big brother. The smile she gives him when he gets right in her face is just priceless. She watches every move he makes and enjoys being around him. Case is starting to interact more and more with her every day.
* Will eat any kind of baby food so far. Case was this way and is an amazing eater so I can only hope she follows in his footsteps. She still nurses 5-6 times a day and I am enjoying even moment of this as well.
* Can roll and roll and roll but not sitting up quite yet. She likes to sit for a little bit, mostly tri-pod style! The poor thing doesn't get QUITE as many opportunities to be in the middle of the living room floor for practice because of flying balls and toys!
* Is a bit of a mamma's girl. She wants to be held on my hip from the time she wakes up from her afternoon nap til pretty much bed time :)
* Is a CRAZY sleeper. She goes to bed by 7pm each evening and sleeps 12-13 hours. She takes a small cat nap in the morning and then a rock star afternoon nap for at least 3 hours. She sometimes squeezes in an evening nap as well. LOVES HER SLEEP!
* We are so very blessed with this little princess. I wish everyone had a chance to enjoy her smiling face all day long :)

Horseshoe Bay, Texas

Ryan and I were able to get away for a few days this past weekend. We left on Thursday and returned on Sunday morning. Ryan's parents were SO gracious to travel all the way down here to watch our sweet kiddos. They enjoy their time away and the individual attention they can give our kids is amazing. I am SO very thankful for Mark & Donna!
We spent 2 full days by the pool, lounging and relaxing. We ate TOO many yummy meals and had a nice time. Ryan's office was #1 in the region so this was a celebration to their hard work. Way to go, honey :)
Dinner the first night at the Yacht Club!
So awesome our hubbies work together and we remain the best of friends :)
 Beautiful sunset dinner cruise...
Love these gals!

Can't. Get. Enough.

I seriously can't get enough of this sweetness. They are absolutely, positively, the BEST things on this planet :) LOVE MY KIDS!!! This morning, I was thinking, I wonder if my Mom ever had these thoughts...HOW am I so lucky, WHAT did I do to deserve kids this sweet, WHAT am I going to do when they grow up and leave me? LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
